Meet the Professional Organizers That Organize Your Life
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a professional organizer? Here at Clutter KeeperĀ® we are going to feature some of our favorite ones.
These business owners and bloggers are rockstars! They have serious talent for creating order out of chaos. And that deserves a standing ovation!
Valerie Wood – Neat Method

Meet Valerie. She’s a professional organizer and owns Neat Method in Dallas, Texas.
She is a self-proclaimed workaholic who admits she actually enjoys running errands.
Craft rooms are some of her favorite places to organize. This is due mostly to the fact that she adores crafts and DIY projects so much.
She currently lives in the DFW area with her husband, daughter, and their cat Hello.
We are thrilled to share some tips and wisdom from Valerie here with you! Following are our questions with her answers.
WHAT IS THE MOST COMMON QUESTION YOU ARE ASKED AS AN ORGANIZER?
Oh my gosh! Is your house just so organized? And the answer is, sometimes it is and sometimes it isn’t. I do have a child after all.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE STORAGE HACK?
I love using legal sized plastic file boxes to store kids artwork.
WHAT MADE YOU REALLY ENJOY ORGANIZING IN THE FIRST PLACE?
My mom inspired my love of organizing way back in my childhood. She kept our home really organized and I realized I enjoyed living in a clean space vs. a messy room. So I started to clean up and never stopped.
WHO IS YOUR INSPIRATION?
I think I pull my inspiration from so many people. I look up to lots of women who are business owners in my area. They could be food bloggers, how-to queens, crafty moms, or other fellow organizers.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO LABEL THINGS?
I have terrible handwriting so I use a Cricut (a craft machine) that writes and cuts out my labels in record time!
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE āMUST-HAVEā STORAGE PRODUCTS?
I love clear storage bins from the container store. They are so versatile and hold up so well!
WHAT IS THE MOST POPULAR THING YOU ORGANIZE?
Pantries! Everything is bigger in Texas and that goes for our food storage!
HAS ANYTHING FUNNY OR MEMORABLE HAPPENED TO YOU WHEN YOU WERE ON A JOB?
One of our most memorable projects was for one of the sweetest clients. She wanted to surprise her husband with an organized home when he returned from a trip. Well, he caught an earlier flight and we were midway through the project so we had about 20 minutes to clean up and clear out and we pulled it off!Ā
